A layer of LifeGel is formed in a dish. Cells are seeded on the surface of LifeGel and form three-dimensional structures/spheroids. Cells can grow in multiple layers, migrate inside the hydrogel and interact with each other, mimicking the natural environment in which they originally live

LifeGel is a hydrogel used in 3D cell culture

LifeGel can be produced with different parameters of key characteristics such as hardness, density or elasticity. We have conducted many experiments to find the most suitable combination of these characteristics to fit particular experiments and cell cultures. We know that well matched parameters are crucial for optimal cell growth.

Defined protein composition – you can be certain that there is nothing in our hydrogel that would interfere with your experiment

Growth-factors free – our hydrogel is free from growth factors such as FGF, EGF etc.

Easy to use and store – you receive a plate with hydrogel, that is ready to be seeded with cells. You can also store it in the fridge for future use.

Support for cells – our hydrogel provides optimal platform for three-dimensional growth of the cells

Recovery of cells for tests – because of the Digestion kit you are able to extract cultured cells from the hydrogel and use them for downstream testing.

Transparent – our hydrogel is transparent, so you can easily observe the cells under the microscope and document the experiment.

Batch to batch repeatability – you can be sure that your experiments are repeatable and the results are reliable, no matter which batch you are using.

Customised – different cells have different environmental needs. We can match the hydrogel with optimal characteristics (such as stiffness) to your chosen cell type.

Suitable for various cell cultures – our hydrogel has been tested on many cell types, such as B16, Pan_02, HUVEC and many others.

Angiogenesis test and Aortic ring assay – you can perform variety of tests on our hydrogel, including those that are impossible in most of the other platforms – Angiogenesis test (In vitro tube formation assay) and Aortic ring assay.
